Folders
Organise inside a vault, with the folder names sealed like everything else.
Once a vault holds more than a handful of things, it needs sorting. Folders are a way to group items inside one vault — a single level, one folder per item, named whatever you like.
The names are encrypted too
A folder is not a directory on disk. Nothing moves; the grouping lives in the vault's sealed manifest alongside the filenames and the rest of the metadata. So how you've chosen to sort your files is exactly as private as the files themselves — a folder called Passport is no more visible than the document inside it.
A lens, not a hiding place
Tapping a folder filters the grid; the main view still shows everything in the vault. Folders are for finding things, and the vault is the privacy boundary. We deliberately did not build folders you can hide items inside, because that would quietly turn a convenience into a security claim it can't support.
Getting things back out
Browsing folders, renaming them, deleting them, and moving items out all work without a subscription — including if one lapses. Nothing you have already organised gets locked behind anything.
