Feature
In-app camera
Capture straight into the vault, with no copy left in the camera roll.
Importing an existing photo makes an encrypted copy and leaves the original wherever it was — which means remembering to delete it, and remembering again when your photo app moves it to a recently-deleted album for a month.
The in-app camera skips that entirely. Open a vault, capture, and the image is sealed directly into it.
It never reaches your photo library
The capture is encrypted in memory and written straight to the vault. It is not saved to the system photo library first and deleted afterwards — it is never there at all, so there is no original, no thumbnail cache entry, and nothing in a recently-deleted album.
The camera bytes are cleared from memory as soon as the image is sealed, or as soon as you cancel.
Permissions
The camera permission is requested the first time you use it, and for nothing else. Weave Vault asks for no location access, so captures carry no coordinates.
Limits
Photos and short videos captured in-app stay under 75 MB each. Larger material is better brought in through the normal import flow, which handles files up to 16 GB by encrypting them in streamed 4 MB chunks.
Available on iPhone, iPad and Android.
